What we collect
From organisers: your studio account, auctions, prizes, and photos. From guests: name, email, phone if you give it, bids, favourites, the consent checkbox, and one session cookie per auction.
Why
To run the auction, tell you when you are outbid or have won, and give the organiser the winners' contact details so prizes get collected.
Emails
You only get emails about prizes you bid on or watch. BidBetter never sends marketing. If you ticked the box, the organiser may contact you about their future events; that is between you and them.
Who sees what
The organiser sees guest names, emails, phones, and bids for their own auction. Guests never see each other's names. The big screen shows amounts and prizes only.
Where it lives
Data is stored in Supabase (the byone.studio project) and the site runs on Vercel. Outbid and winner emails go through Postmark. There are no ads and no analytics cookies on guest pages (/i/, /e/, /me).
How long
Auctions and bids stay so organisers can look back. Ask the organiser or support@byone.studio to remove your data and we do.
Cookies
One httpOnly cookie per auction remembers you as a guest. Organisers have the studio session cookie. Nothing else.
